A few pics from - Friday Night

This is an area for you to post images so that you may share with us a technique that you have mastered, or are trying to master. Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

hi

number two is very nice with the details of the street and the light of the buiding and bridge, but i think it could have been more wondeful if the sky was not so black. i think maybe a double exposure to bring more detail to the sky.

thanks for sharing

take care

christian.

I agree with Alex - the second is the pick.
The exposure gives the feel of a small village way down below. 8)
Nice shot.

It looks as though it was taken from Wendell's office...

Ya No. 2 is from Wendells window. The orig is very much more exposed. Ill see what I can do. The sky looks very blue on my screen!! Do you think the bottom right hand corner is to light greyish? Thanks for your comments :)

I knew yu took one at 30 seconds which had more ambient light in the sky
why don't you try merging the sky from that exposure into the pic you posted here

Adam
I think both are excellent. In #1 I'd be tempted to clone out the tree in the bottom right corner and the railing in the bottom left. Similarly in #2 on lower left. PS It was good to catch up with you too.

Hey Stubbs No. 1 is a pano :) I might have a go at cloning out the corners.
Might even try to get the sky bluer.

Thanks for your comments.

Number 2 for me. Is number 1 dark on purpose for mood or was it just the way it was shot?

#2 is an absolute gem. Wendell, you're a lucky bugger having that view from your office.

I quite like the first image as well, but the third one doesn't do much for me.
