I like the theme.. but i find it distracting how only 1 tooth is in focus.. and the focal plane makes my eyes go cross eyed as it drifts down to the corner of the image... maybe blurring out under the tooth a fraction so its still there.. but not giving it a focal line.. just making the focus on the tooth a bit more.. if thats what your after..
just me tho...nice image Tim D70 - D200/MBD200 Coming soon - Too Much Gear, Not Enough Talent

Sorry but I'm not seeing much in it.

hi
i like the dof as it is...the only problem is that white area at the end. christian check my website>> http://www.6701.sunpixs.com
I like how only one tooth is in focus. It kinda highlights that it will only take one of these little buggers to do you some real damage. I also agree about the white in the background as being distracting. Overall a good shot for me.
And this is where I met the leprechaun - He told me to burn things
Hrd to tell without seeing it, but maybe it'd work better if the tooth in focus was one of the one's closer to the front. As it is there is too much distracting OOF in the foreground for me. And I agree, crop off the top to get rid of the white.
Cheers,
macka a.k.a. Kris
Thanks for the honest feedback mate. I have a few others with a little more DOF that i will have a look at. Steve (Nikon D200/D700)

I might try a crop to reduce the white area and cut a little of the OOF foreground out. ![]() Steve (Nikon D200/D700)

I saw that just now.
Not valid unfortunately as I took the shot in May! I will have to come up with something else. The 50mm 1.4 is great. Steve (Nikon D200/D700)
