![]() That's a great shot, good seperation from the background and terrific detail, nice and sharp and composition's good too, which is hard with bird stuff... This is a good one... ![]() Aka Andrew
Tricky little vixen you
![]() Lovely bokeh rel. Background colour really enhances the portrait I would however suggest pulling back just a tad on exposure (on the bird) IMO the bird is a little overexposed cheers marco
A nice landscape and best Kooka pic, I've seen on here.

I took some closeups of kookas at the wildlife park last week.. and spent an age struggling with the areas of sunlight/shade.. Should have just slapped on the SB800 and used fill flash!!! d'oh!

If you use soft flash it falls off, you gotta use HARD light.... Nice pic Rel, that must be some contraption hanging off your camera. Do you have to go into the chemists and say, "No, really, they are for my camera..." ![]() Have to got a photo of your setup? 2x D700, 2x D2h, lenses, speedlights, studio, pelican cases, tripods, monopods, patridges, pear trees etc etc

Sorry Raskill - kind of an in-house joke - the beer cup is the Gary Fong Lightsphere 2, and the contraceptive cap is the opaque snap on internal dome
