Shame about his tail!

A bit noisey as I had to push ISO400 (shouldn't have used Matrix)

Same as above

I think he was cold?... Can anyone confirm the ID?

4 Birds from this morning.I have no idea what I was thinking this morning.... I had my metering set to matrix (bad idea) and my shutter speed was way too low (1/60) so I didn't get many keepers... Thought these turned out OK though.

Love the last 2. Very sharp indeed. The colour of the sky on the last one looks great.
And this is where I met the leprechaun - He told me to burn things
The 'sky' is actually the side of a building ('The Rocks' at Mornington pier for those playing at home ![]() Paul http://www.australiandigitalphotography.com

DOH! Still a nice backdrop for the Birdie.

Nice shots, Paul, despite your misgivings.
I haven't got my bird book with me but I'm pretty sure the last one is a bronzewing. The spots on the others lead me to think they're starlings or similar but I'm only guessing. Simon

You don't find it too busy? That was my first thought when I saw it. Paul http://www.australiandigitalphotography.com

Paul, That fact that the bird has ruffled feathers, very sharp, looking at camera etc makes the image very strong. Busy background doesn't bother me at all. Cheers Michael
