I guess she got a bit sick of it all and "luckily" ended up with this.
I'd appreciate comments about the photo itself and which crop people prefer most.
Thanks.

No more photos please.....I was asked by a work colleague to take some photos of her grandchild.

Geoff - not the best capture but at the same time it has a lot going for it. Pity she wasn't happy, however it's a thinking pose, serious but timeless - I think I prefer the original. Nicely composed and sharp too. If you feel comfortable doing it (and make sure it's ok with the parent/s - tickle her on the tummy and then shoot

Thanks for the input everone.
I'm still undecided about the cropping. Her expression is pretty special. She did lighten up after a little while and we did get some more pics after this, but this was my favourite. And yes Redline, they are her real eyebrows. Geoff, thanks for the tips. Kiddy portrait photography is hard work. I think I'll stick with the pelicans and landscapes. ![]()
Nicely done Geoff - the expression is classic although it appears to me she's looking ever so slightly to your left.
Prefer the close crop as, for me, it intensifies the expression. Simon
