This is an area for you to post images so that you may share with us a technique that you have mastered, or are trying to master. Typically, no more than about four images should be posted in any one post or thread, and the maximum size of any side of any image should not exceed 950 px.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

200m F2. Bloody hell! Is that the Nikkor Vr lens?

Nice pic, great DOF and bokeh. I would be tempted to clone out the reflections in the chrome mirror. Did you sell your 300mm to get this lens?

Andrew - beautiful selective focus, great expression, and a wonderful dreamy creamy background !!!!!! Just beautiful (I may just brighten up the whites of her eyes and teeth just a smidgeon to compete with that french manicure and white dress ;) )

Andrew, on my monitor the background looks all out of focus, probably a faulty unit. If you bought it overseas and it is too far to take it back, I will buy it off you cheap to use a boat anchor.

Yeah, sold off the 300mm for the 200mm VR.

It suits me better for portraits compared to the 300mm. Also with the VR I can easily hand hold it. As it’s shorter then the 300mm, I can fill flash with a single SB800.

I’ve only have it for a few days, so given a few more weddings I’ll get to know it a bit better.

I’ll be at the Sydney meet on Saturday, so anyone coming is welcome to have a play with it. :P

Great shot!! Id prob crop it square just below the bracelet. Shiney bike is competeing with your less thatn shiney subject.

Being an f2 my guess is that it would be great lens for available light photos! (hint here..... loose the flash!!!!).

Horses for courses. In this case flash was set to minus 2 stops, just enough to push the face a bit.
