Anyhow they were some way out and made do with the 200m, and these fellow were not what you would call young.

This 1 to show that they are not far off the rocks.

cheers

Old Surfers Never DieHi All, well not the best of days but on my way to Warnambool Victoria today for a visit to the Docs i stopped off at Pt Ferry to see if there was any surfers and i new i should have taken the bigger lens, but i didn't just as well because i took my father for a drive with me who is 78 and he brought a bottle of cordial, lemon lucky enough and it went all over my back seat as he didn't do the lid up. Mind you i was not a happy chappy and luckily didn't go into my camera bag.

Dam that looks COLD! Been there done that got the wet suit hanging in the shed.
Somehow my old wetsuit seems to have shrunk. It used to fit me fine 20 years ago it is very tight now. Strange that ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Way to much photography gear is never enough!
does look cold.
thats the best thing about surfing on the gold coast. I hardly ever needed the rubber. of course these days I never get surfing anyhow so is all academic. steve check out my image gallery @

Thanks Dug and Steve, of course not as good as your steve but i was surprised on such a crappy day it does not stop some people getting out and having a go. There was three of these fellows there and all well aged and they rode the wave between the rocks so they are gamer than me.
If i had enough time and big lens if weather was better i heard there are some Whales at Warnambool as well but maybe i will get there sometime again soon. D3,D2x,D70,18-70 kit lens,Sigma 70-200mm F2.8EX HSM,Nikon AF-I 300m F2.8, TC20E 2X

bbj: you will find that surfers are like golfers.
it doesnt really matter if it is raining. you are wet anyhow. wetsuits help a lot. quite often you perceive the water warmer in lousy weather because of the lower temperature differential between air and water. Steve check out my image gallery @
