hmm..not entirely sure Chris.
I can see exactly what you're trying to prove, however there's something here that just doesn't grab me. Perhaps it's the unavoidable reflection of the (? amp tower) in the new building, I find it a little distractive. Geoff

I don't think it works as an image at all.

Chis..... I think this would work better cropped to a vertical, if there is more image, a bit more sky and new building to give the shot a lot more depth........ for me I find it too tight a crop
Cheers ....bp....
Difference between a good street photographer and a great street photographer.... Removing objects that do not belong... happy for the comments, but .....Please DO NOT edit my image..... http://bigpix.smugmug.com Forever changing

I have tried on numerous occasions to capture a similar image at that location and never succeeded. I don't think you have done so here either. My considered opinion is that it just isn't possible to do it right because the location doesn't provide the opportunity to shoot this from a suitable angle. Peter

i think it's the angle needs to be more dramatic
i would try to frame the image so the strand lines meet up at the bottom left and top right corner also get the contrast rigtht so the modern building in the background appears more white as in real life it is
Spot on Peter Chris
