Batty over fruit batsEven though they freak me out, I snapped a few shots of the botanical garden's fruit bats during my morning walk in Sydney today.

I like the first one, nice colour and composition. Looks like you've caught him cuddling up for a good day's sleep...
EDIT: btw, shame about that branch at the bottom left. I'm not a big fan of twig cloning, but in this case I reckon the image would improve a lot if you got rid of it. Cheers Steffen. lust for comfort suffocates the soul
First one's a cracker Willy - you really caught the moment with the yawn and the light on the outstretched wing shows off the structure really well. Not often you see this on bat shots.

Try turning the top image upside down. Very stretch dracula. What a comment for my 500th post!
