Fremantle sunsetTaken in Freo the other night, lying flat out on the jetty with a 4" tall Slik table tripod.... I upped the saturation on this a bit to give the look as I remember it.

Re: Fremantle sunset
nice shot, freo gives some great sunsets. Simon
www.colberne.com.au I purchased a Teddy Bear this morning for the sum of $10. I named him Mohammed. This afternoon I sold him on E-Bay for $30. My question is, "Have I made a prophet?"
Thanks for sharing that one.... I'm originally from Perth and My wife and I used to take our two boys on the train to Freo often to get Fish and Chips from Kailis and eat them in the park watching the sunset over the water...
I'm heading back for 2 weeks in Sept for the birth of my sisters new baby... After seeing your photo I can't wait to go.. Nice photo, the colours look great to me. Mark

Awesome photo. I love the blue sky above the yellow of the sunset - my favourite time in the evening.
I used to work in a cafe on the wharf where your photo was probably taken. Berlotti's or something like that? Nikon D70s, Nikkor 18-70, Sigma 70-300DG APO

Beautiful shot. The colours and still water really make the shot. Well done.

Very, very nice. I don't think you've overdone the saturation. Looks natural, looks perfect.

Thanks Jonas - I took this next to the Mussel Bar restaurant - my work colleague and I had an excellent meal there later in the evening. Maybe it's been re-invented? Cheers What's another word for "thesaurus"?
While this works nicely as a standalone picture, I think there are two possible improvements/alternative approaches:
1. A close crop of the boat, in protrait format - the colours and tones in this part of the image are absolute magic! 2. A wider view, showing more of the cafe - I keep wanting to look further to the right in this pic, perhaps a couple of shots stitched together would have shown the scene a little better? That said, a nice capture which you are right to be happy with ![]() *** When getting there is half the fun! ***
