Don't ride into a head-height fence line
This is one of the things I managed to do while in Queensland a few weeks back - VERY lucky to make it back, even more amazed that it seems to be healing quite well now. Apologies for the quality of the photo's, obviously self portraits with the camera on the phone  *** When getting there is half the fun! ***
hmm, i could swear pmt is worse for me.
and i'd have rather given birth that have 3 fingers stuck in a 3 tonne press or have 2nd degree burns across the webbing of my thumb, that hurts like 3 panadeine forte every 8 hours for a week. i've been there during child birth, it didnt seem so bad. the gas was actually fun.  Simon

The composition isn't bad, but there's a nice fluroescent colour cast over everything that you might want to fix in PP.

I don't think that you adhered to the 3rds rule here in either shot sheepie and your shots are worse for it, also you really need to try and get the "CUT SHARP" focus happining as these are a bit blurry.

leone, mate you are bloody lucky and well glad to hear you are getting better. Your sore neck, my sore belly with an 8 inch cut down the centre and now after laying on my bed sort of sitting up my leg from hip to knee is all numb so maybe a pinched nerv so yeh we are in the wars mate.
least when they cut me open i was knocked out and no picking on a fence.

Nice start sheepie but you really need more gore, try barbed wire next time. I still have the scars from when I tried that with a motorbike back in 1970. Seriously, You were lucky to survive this what was the fence made from? Way to much photography gear is never enough!
Leon, glad you are ok, looks really nasty. I assume it was a bicycle, not a dirt bike, there have been a few cases of people almost decapitating themselves when disgruntled land owners put wire across tracks
hehe - you assume wrong, was a 4wheeler, and I was going somewhere around 30, maybe up to 35km/hr. yes, extremely lucky to still have my head
Was on the farm my nephew is currently working on, their bike. They had let me go off on my own while they started work on some fences. They hadn't realised I'd headed in the direction of an unfinished fence though! Luckily I had a handheld CB with me, and was able to call them to come collect me - I don't think I was in a good position to find my own way back to the farmhouse! (also lucky I had only just left where they were working on the fence a couple of minutes before, and had followed the fenceline) Learning from this whole thing is when on a farm or similar land, always ask if there might be hazards such as unfinished fences, etc. It's not their fault, just one of those things - one of those things that makes you realise just how fragile life can be at times *** When getting there is half the fun! ***
