Last night i was so fortunate to witness the best student fashion design fashion show ever
Some of Australia’s hottest young designers battled it out for the prestigious Croser Award. The show showcased the creations of Australia’s leading fashion design studio, East Sydney TAFE which has produced some of Australia’s top designers. Free from commercial constraints student design is always much more innovative and creative.
Wonderful Haute Couture set against the striking back drop of The Strand Arcade, i produced my best backstage ever, full length and in fashion editorial style
28-70, sb800 on sc-29
this dress was amazing all hand made with organza and silk
designer Vanna Nhoung
the models weren't pros they were friends of the designers or students so i thought they did very well under my direction
designer: Oren Nuri
see the shadows on the corset, thats from placing the flash behind the staircase rail
love the colours in this one
designer: Mia Lavee
and there is heaps more...

Wendell, that last pic is just absolutely haunting The contrast of her hair and lips with the rest of the environment is tops!
I like the warm colours of the first pic a lot as well.
Top work once again dude Can't wait to see the rest of the shoot.

hi glen
i know your joking
but i must say press work isn't easy it's hard work, last minute notifaction ready or not you have to cover backstage, red carpet, runway, socials and handle spoilt models, be charming and maintain composure while being creative and technical
it's not all glitz and glamour

Ahh yes Wendell - all the above may be true, but you MAKE it look like glitz and glamour and that's what makes you so good!

A year ago I would have made the following statement - ”You have a talent that will develop but, unfortunately, I will be long gone before you make a mark!” - I was wrong. . .

thank you chriss, your in good health i am sure you will be around for a long time to come
shouldbe noted too for the full length shots i got someone to hold the sb800 high up so i could maintain my angle light, i couldn't get full length at 28mm holding the flash at arms length

These are great as per usual Wendell, what can I say? Creative use of the lighting brings out a real mood or atmosphere. Awesome.

nice shots as always. why do the models always have to look extremely fake? like wearing make up you only ever see models like them wearing?

Wendelt,
beautiful work as usual. What ever you do DON'T get a real job..... they stifle your creativity, your passion and your true potential
