On AW Saturday, Keith and I filled the time between minimeet and dinner with a walk around The Rocks. In the afternoon we stumbled across an art exhibition in one of the former warehouses on Pier <?>. On the top floor it had a mind-boggling display of 180,000 clay figurines made by 350 Chinese people, and packed densely on the floor arounf some old machinery.
This is what they looked like (about 15cm high on average): 
And this is the sea of clay made up of all 180,000 of them: 
On the way out of the warehouse I snapped off this one. Too much contrast really to manage, but I liked the glow of the afternoon sun on the floorboards, and the city reflection in the windows.

 . Definitely will be bringing a tripod.
I love #2, but I doubt that any number of megapixels could capture that type of detail. An incredible exhibit, well done in capturing it So join in the chorus, and sing it one and all!
I reckon what limited resolution was technique rather than megapixels. A tripod would have been the key. There wasn't a lot of light. I had upped the ISO to 800 already, but could still only stop down to f/4 while reaching my handhold limit (1/30s with the 24mm f/2.8 ). Therefore, there is some camera shake and too little DOF. that's the Sydney Biennale, titled Zones of Contact at Pier 2 right below from where i work
Antony Gormley's artwork is one of the best contemporary art installations you will ever see and stefen you captured the scale magnificently i visit this installation at least once a week it's just breathtaking and inspirational
