Miss V8 SupercarsI was out at Oran Park today and was lucky enough to get into this media shoot.
These are a couple of shot I managed to get. ![]() ![]() D700, 50 1.8, 14-24 2.8, 24-70 2.8, 70-200VR, 80-400VR, SB800 plus a lot of gadgets
Good work getting in on this one!
A little trick for future (if you can remember it while there's a bikini clad woman standing in front of you!!!) when shooting vertical with your flash, flip the camera the other way so that the shadow is thrown behind the person rather than in front - very simple but you'd be surprised how much difference it makes. PS - if this series goes any further (ie she removed the sash!) PM me! ![]()
Barry,
Where are the cars? ![]() Seriously, you might like to cut back on the sharpening that you've used - the first of these is way overdone, as can be seen by the haloing on her left leg and arm, and her back. g.
Gary Stark Nikon, Canon, Bronica .... stuff The people who want English to be the official language of the United States are uncomfortable with their leaders being fluent in it - US Pres. Bartlet
You can see her back in this? ![]() ![]() Andrew
I think I've gone blind from staring to long.

Lifes journey is not to arrive at our grave in a well preserved body but, rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting, "Wow what a ride." D70s, D300, 70-300ED, 18-70 Kit Lens, Nikkor 105 Micro. Manfrotto 190Prob Ball head. SB800 x 2.
Thanks for comments everyone.
I guess I was fortunate to be in the right place at the right time. These shots were taken with the D70, 18-70 kit lens and the build in flash. I didn't even have my SB800 with me. Good tip beetleboy, I will keep that in mind for next time. Barry D700, 50 1.8, 14-24 2.8, 24-70 2.8, 70-200VR, 80-400VR, SB800 plus a lot of gadgets
Wisie, I didn't have a formal invitation. I was just hanging around watching the shot take place in one of the pit shed when one of the sponsors asked it I would like to come in. What could I say.
