" a Sad Evevning"After HD crash,i now restartingfew months back i lost almost all my portfolio that i had made durring two years.all NEF file lost including edited NEFs and PSD, i almost stoped shooting now as i was so dishearted,but now i went out hope to make my portfolio again.it was a big loss for me.its so hard to have good photos at my place and poluted environment in pakistan.

Well, I feel for you PALL. I guess the last thing you would want to hear now is gratuitous comments about a backup strategy:

I believe myself and numerous others expressed sympathy at the time of the original failure. I deal with people all the time who think it can not happen to them or similar reasoning. whilst it is a bad thing to happen and everyone sympathises. It is preventable. Also the fact that it happened once doesnt mean that it cant again, and the lesson learned should be that backups save grief. Steve check out my image gallery @

A great shot!That is a great shot! So...did you loose all your photos and programs? I hope you had most photos saved in a DVD specially if they were as good as this one.

yeah i lost all photos from last year and half,no backup on DVD either,only some months back i was preparing some photos for PRINT outs and i luckly saved on other partition which was safe,only those photos are recovered.but all NEFs are lost which is big loss as they were high quality format and my source too.i now again going out eatch weekend and atempting to have same shots like i did before.hope god will help. i now installed a DVD burner and backing up stuff regularly. thansk all,bye.
