great captures, number is 3 is the pick i reckon. although a little soft. shutter speed?
it looks like it would have been hard conditions to shoot in and u probably needed a real fast lens. can i ask what equipment u were using?
I used sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 to shot them.
With Shutter Speed 1/125 sec , f2.8 @200mm Nikon D70s + Nikkor AF 28-105D+ AFS 70-300 VR + AF 50 f/1.8 D + Tokina 12-24 f/4 + DX 10.5 Fisheye+SB800
I don't know how far they are..but i know they are far away from me... I did crop to these photos.
I do not have any technical at all because i am al a newbie on shooting in this kind of dark area ![]() Nikon D70s + Nikkor AF 28-105D+ AFS 70-300 VR + AF 50 f/1.8 D + Tokina 12-24 f/4 + DX 10.5 Fisheye+SB800
Hi Tyrone, not bad captures. As you say not really sharp enough - did you try to sharpen in any way?
They could also probably be cropped to take out more of the night sky and to centralise your subjects. The first one could end up better as a square crop. Must be hard to get these guys in the right place - needs plenty of practice, I imagine. Cheers, Mick ![]() ![]()
any special skills to shoot better in this kind of situation?
