Hey Pa - first one is a male figbird, and the second is the common koel, also a male, who will hopefully find a nice girlfriend, and they will lay eggs in the poor figbirds nest

Pa, I think the second bird has you confused with the satin bower bird. The male is a similar colour and the female is green.
The shot of the figbird is a beauty. Shame he wasn't on a branch for a more natural appeal to the shot. Cheers, Mick ![]() ![]() ![]()
thanks rel i dont remember seeing a bird like your link.when the sun shines on these they go blue/black.mick last year i saw a deep green bird flying with this or a similar bird.
