MattyO, i used a long exposure of 20 secs and used a torch to reflect light of the escavator so the camera could pick it up. and because of the long exposure the sky is shown quite nicely as well.

What type of torch did you use.... I suppose you need to be even with the painting of the subject or else there will be under and over exposed patches in the final result....

interesting you say that sheepie, because i was only inspired to do this because of other people having used this technique and sharing how they did it on this forum!

MattyO, i just used a small handheld torch (one of the small ones that take 2 D batteries) and just went over the escavator in a circular motion making sure to cover it equally. hope that helps.
