The big cats were still recovering from yesterday's heat, so I got some reasonable bird shots instead.

And this one is a little unusual, I think. I've never seen inside a croc before.

Some Birds and inside a CrocWent to the Zoo today with some people from a competing web forum...

Daniel, nice work, love the colours in the birds. BTW isn’t that an Alligator? Rounded nose makes me think this is a Alligator rather than a Croc, unless the poor guy has been bashing his snout against the walls of his pen

I've got a camera, it's black. I've got some lens, they are black as well.
should have bought one of those olympus p&s to feed to the croc (the camera with the dog chewing on it)
Hassy, Leica, Nikon, iPhone
Come follow the rabbit hole...

Yes he was easier to catch this time as he seemed to be nesting. Taking bits of grass into a tree, always sitting in the same place on the hand rall.
You're probably right. I wasn't sure, so I guessed it was a croc. I'm probably wrong. The more I look at it, the more it looks like an alligator. ![]()
All the shots were with the Nikkor 80-400 VR. They were shot wide open (probably f/5.6). Daniel Nikon D4, D2Xs, D70, Nikkors and Sigmas lenses from 10 to 400mm

Thanks.
Actually, no. ![]() One of the good things about being in a Zoo's aviary is the increased number of opportunities. It's more a matter of moving slowly and being on the lookout.
It is my favourite lens. I enjoy using it much more than my other lenses. Daniel Nikon D4, D2Xs, D70, Nikkors and Sigmas lenses from 10 to 400mm
