Words cannot describe how chuffed i am with this shot. The final image is 4500x13000odd and is sharp as a tack all over! This shot made the early wake up worth it all. The early bird does get the worm!

As far as panos go, it is a very nice one.

My only concern with the image is the brightness of the sun/sky on the right hand side. Perhaps next time you could use a graduated neutral density filter to lessen the brightness without impacting on the foreground.

Still, i reckon it will look great printed.

You should be justifiably proud of this. Yes the sky is blown on the right, but it's still a fantastic image. You should also be able to fix part of that blown sky in Photoshop with some selective use of the dodge tool and some Grad ND treatment in PSCS

How does 4 meters long sound

Don't even know how you would go about block mounting it.

Simon, that print 4 meters long would be about... 1.15metres tall

As soon as i can get some stock of some epson photo gloss or ilford smooth pearl paper i was going to print it out 300mm wide, which would end up about a bit over a metre long i think

The full image is 4734px by 16408px which is about 77 Megapixels. But if you want to print a big one, I can give you a cd with the photoshop file of the image. You can print it as long as you keep my name on it and you give me a copy

hahahah and if anyone wants a copy of it that big, you have to give me a part of the profits!

What sort of printer do you have at work? What is the maximum size roll paper you can use?

Great Pano there, and I'm not too much of a purist so the blown sky doesn't bother me. Well done, I imagine that took a while to stitch.

Just a bit of a remake, adjusted the shadows to bring the buildings out lighter, changed the blown highlight in the sky a little, and just a little contrast and saturation adjustment.

Also fixed some obvious stitchmarks

What sort of printer do you have at work? What is the maximum size roll paper you can use?

roland SP540, roll size is 1.37m x 50m, maximum print is 53inchs high.

its good for 1440 dpi, but profiles i have for the media we use only go to 1050. But thats still ok for the size i print stuff.

the very kind people at our printing store gave me a test sample of about 930mm of epson premium luster paper to have a trial with before we buy.

Ive printed this image out at 260x900 and it looks pretty farken good. The print barely fits in the bath and the photo doesn't really do it much justice so i wont bother posting it.

nah mate. Just loaded the 70-200 onto my camera and mounted it on my tripod in portrait mode, and exposed the central part of the city, and then took shots going around.

Then just took the time and stitched it all together in photoshop. Its more time consuming than anything.
