Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.
Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.
Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

Dear All,
International Internet connection in most Asian countries including Hong Kong has become very slow or unreachable since December 26, 2006.
The problem was due to the earthquake in Taiwan which has
caused damage to all six overseas carriers’ submarine cables.
Expected that it may take few weeks to fully recover the service.
Lucky that today I can login internet and I can reach our forum now and I don't miss the chance to say hello to all friends before new Year.
I take this opportunity to wish all friends a very happy and prosperous new year 2007!
I took some photos in Christmas by Canon 5D with Canon 100-400 lens.
I used ISO 1600 and you can see few noise and see the power of full frame DLSR.
Took by Canon 5D full frame body and 100-400mm lens at 400mm, ISO 1600
God bless!
Best regards
Poon

Poon
Good to see you back on line. Switching to Canon now?
I hope the coming year brings good fortune to you, Jean and your family.
The colours in those shot are very intense - especially the first image.

Happy New Year to you and your family Poon, and I hope your internet / connectivity extra improves soon (its been a headache for me, looking after a crippled Singapore office).
Love the images, the Canon does impress, lovely color and low noise!

Hi Poon,
Glad to see that you can get on line, if only in short bursts.
I love the third and fourth of these images. When you get tired of that 5D, you know where to send it.
All the best to you, Jean, and the family, and let's all hope for a prosperous and peaceful 2007.
