Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature. I think that maybe a lower viewpoint would have helped the composition...by getting down on the same angle as the penguin so that you could see its face properly...the sand looks pink also...was it?

I agree absolutely. Except that onlookers were confined to a boardwalk built above the level of the sand. The closer the birds came to the viewing platform, the more the angle was emphasised. Really nothing I could do. And yes, the sand at this beach is a little pinker than our sand. The white point in the pic is on the bird's head. Thanks for taking the time to comment Bindii. Nice pic Trevor, given the constraints you had to work with, angle-wise. Is it related to the African Swallow, by any chance? (Sound of coconuts in the distance...)
