Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

Very nice.

I especially like the original posted pic.

The second posted in the second post is a nice sunset too.

I think the the overhanging branches on the left in the first of the second post distract from the overall image a bit IMO.

Looks like a nice part of the world.

Russell.

Great shot #1. You just need to sharpen it a bit more, that's all. Also, try bending a little down so that the barbed wire goes across the bright sky, creating a perfect silhouette. Just a thought.

Keep it up!

Thanks for the feedback Kamran,

on that note, would you like to have a go at sharpening or share how i would PP it?

i can use PP to a basic level, and have not done any sharpening of my images yet.

ummm, I had a go at sharpening... I used the Filter>sharpen>unmask. And then pushed it a little to smooth it out (like skin tones on models...) :D

what do you think? (I heard a rumour there may be a PS workshop in Melbourne... perhaps I could do better after that?)

well if this is what comes out of the sharpen filter, i think a lesson is in order. i am looking forward to the event... if it does eventuate.
