What is it about Wednesday nights?
Last Wed was thunder, rain and lightning, this week it was bushfire..

The latest fires in SA are alleged to be lit by an arsonist.

Fantastic images Big V..I'm assuming the first was lit with your car headlights? Very effective.
One of the owners of the studio is at home defending his house from bushfires as I type. He phoned in this morning when the fire broke the containment line to let us know he wasn't likely to make it in to work today! Here's hoping it's all good. 
I was out from 7 at night till 3 in the morning watching this as I live just down the road..the first shot was lit by a car parked next to me and the driver put his parker lights on when he saw what I was doing.. They threw a lout of resources at this to try and get on top of it early - 500 firefighters in all. Here is just a small sample of the crew going in to do battle at around 2 in the morning.

I've seen that and worse in Canberra 3 years ago.
Coming home: one side of the sky was black and I mean black. - So black it was darker than night. BLACK  - black
The other side was yellow and filled with smoke. I have seen entire hills and ranges aglow and first the yellow, then pink and then the red sky and the ruby red glow of trees. This is something you do not want to experience. Great photos, CD
