Eastern Creek Bike ride day

Got a thin skin? Then look elsewhere. Post a link to an image that you've made, and invite others to offer their critiques. Honesty is encouraged, but please be positive in your constructive criticism. Flaming and just plain nastiness will not be tolerated. Please note that this is not an area for you to showcase your images, nor is this a place for you to show-off where you have been. This is an area for you to post images so that you may share with us a technique that you have mastered, or are trying to master. Typically, no more than about four images should be posted in any one post or thread, and the maximum size of any side of any image should not exceed 950 px.

Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

First real chance to try out new D200. It is certainly faster than the D70,but a steep learning curve with the new settings. Can any of you more experienced D200 users suggest what focus settings are best for motor sport ieGroup Dynamic or Dynamic Area , 11 af areas or 7af wide areas. What also showed up was any flaw in technique whereas it was not so obivious with the D70.

Thanks
Jeff

Thanks Kyle, its the Nikon 300 f4 it seems to be a very sharp lens. These ride days are on often and are advertised on the Eastern Creek web site.
I find them good to practise ones technique( I need to practise often).

Thanks guys.
Pa No1 is heavily cropped but the other 2 are just lightly cropped. At Eastern Creek you can get fairly close to the track especially at turn 2.

Thanks

Nice Jeff, real nice. From the D200? Did you keep the D70 as a backup?

Your pics are getting outstandingly good. Well done!

Thanks guys
Alan the D 70 has been borrowed by my daughter to try,to see if she likes it. In practical terms if I want to use it as a backup I will have to borrow it back, daughters have a way that you just can't resist them. When are we going to see some shots from your new body.

Mate, I haven't touched my gear for about a month. I should be able to make it to the A1GP, so hopefully I'll get something worthwhile there. Short of that, I have the Fiat Hill Climb this weekend at Mount Panorama, so hopefully I'll get something there worth posting.
