I'll bump your thread? You bump my thread?
I wish I was in Alaska, that's a ripper of a shot, how do you find lugging the D200 around the snowfields? D70, Sigma 10-20mm, 28-70 F2.8 EX, 70-200mm F2.8 EX, Nikon 50mm AFD, http://lukeo.fotopic.net/
Scott, this is a really disturbing shot!! Disturbing because I'd rather I was ripping it up.
![]() C&C wise - I think Louise isn't centred enough on her skis. Perhaps she knew you were taking the shot and was trying to look stylish but it looks as if she isn't forward enough. ![]() Did you use off camera flash in this one as there appears to be a shadow? Looks like in this scenario that maybe on camera could have been OK. I used to find it a pain carrying an SLR on the slopes so was happy when P&S cameras became available. Cool capture Scott. Another to savour for the memories. Cheers, Mick ![]() ![]() ![]()
Thanks! I am soon going to write a review on the Topload zoom AW II + chest harness combo which has been a stellar combo for outdoors work and skiing... absolutely ideal.. I used SB-80DX for flash, I wanted louise to stand out a from the background, I was close to the ground trying to get some perspective so the foreground ground is a bit brighter, this is a moderate crop. Oh yes... Hire skiis, Volkl which were good... left our own skis at home in the name of mobility but used our own boots... New page

Hi Scott,
Does the chest harness stop the camera from bouncing against your chest when skiing? Sounds like it may be worth a try. Did you have any problems with the batteries? Looks like nice dry packed cover. I'm envious. Enjoy. Cheers, Mick ![]() ![]() ![]()
