critique please: harbour bridge from pylon lookout

Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

taken during my holiday trip to sydney. unfortunately i just brought my 70-200mm lens that time so it was a bit difficult to capture the bridge in a whole. i managed to take a couple of photos and stitch them in photoshop. here is the result:

I really like the treatment, make me think that it was just finished completion (that sort of era). I also like the lines.

This is a really great photo of a subject I hate :wink: I would even be tempted to crop in from the right hand side to give more power to the structure :wink:

thanks for the suggestion chris. the reason i included some space on the right is to give the sense of size of this bridge. i'll try to work on your suggestion.

The treatment really gives this image some pop. I am wondering if it would present better with a very thin black line around the border because it is hard to know where the image stops and the white background on this site starts?

Sharpness is fine and good composition with the bridge curves and cars in the background

The feel is good with this image. I like the B&W conversion you have used.
It certainly has that old feel to it. Baring the cars of course.

Yeah, great treatment! Love the sepia+BW tone. Nice lines too. Makes it feel like an old archive shot. Nicely done.

Nice shot and i really like the conversion on it .Like kamran said it looks old school but i agree with Willy it needs a border just to seperate it from the page here .
