We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

I havent posted in ages but i thought I would just chuck up a few shots from my recent trip to South Africa.
They were all done with my D80 with a Sigma 18-200mm 3.5-6.3 DC lens.

Nice Pictures, for me the two standouts are 2 and 5.
My guess is these were taken in the Cape Region. Am I close?

I've got a camera, it's black. I've got some lens, they are black as well.

#1 and #5 are my standout images as they have a lot of oomph the others are nice from a documentary standpoint but I feel wouldn't work as well as stand alone images in their own right.

Some excellent photos there. I love 1 and 2, and especially 1. It has a great feel to it.

Thanks for the feedback.
Alpha,
My aim in those was a sort of National geographic style.

Monty and Mal,
None of these were taken in Cape town, or close to Cape Town, although I was there for a long time and I have plenty of shots from there.
These are from Natal near Durban and number one was from Johanesburg Airport.
I'll post some more recent shots from London/Paris soon, I am currently in London, about to set off on a Contiki tour through 8 cities.
Nikon D80, MB-D80, Nikon 50mm f/1.8, Nikon 17-55mm f/2.8, SB-800, Sigma 18-200 f/3.5-6.3
Various bits of borrowed/stolen glass/speedlights etc. - zero style or taste.

I was going for the Cape Region because of the green vegetation in the shots.

Damm I should have known that airport railing :) Spent many an hour looking out over that tarmac :) I go in and out of Joberg twice a year for work.

I just love #1, but cant help thinking it would look even better with a tighter crop at the end of the railings both L & R.
