Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.
Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.
Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

Hey Guys,
Here are a couple of HDR stormy sky images.
This is 9 blended shots,
I am a fan of HDR, i know alot are not, but in reality it enables the camera sensor show in an image what our own eyes see at the time. A sinlge shot would be under exposed or have blown highlights everywhere. BTW my camera can do all this "in camera" anyhow so it isnt all post work!
Just adjusting of the levels thats about it.
There is no better sensor (camera) than the human eye.
Cheers

The first image is particularly good and very indicative of HDR. Please tell me which camera can do ”in-camera” HDR

I particularly like the first one.. amazing stuff!
I'm not against HDR, if it helps you get the images you want.. that said sometimes they do look sureal (which is good or bad depending on what your trying to do).

The first shot is very surreal looking hence eye catching, including the little UFO in the top right corner...

I find #1 to be an awsome set of shots Rach.
There is a real mean/ evil feel to those clouds.

lol.....yeah sorry...well slightly misleading words there.....i didnt mean my cam can do "in house" HDR - but it can do up to 6 blended shots...in house then merge them in a variety of ways.
The D200 is my weapon of choice.....
