Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.
Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.
Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

I was over in New Zealand while the boys were there but alas our paths did not cross
land of the long white cloud... not (Mt Egmont in the early morning light before stubbsy would even think of getting out of bed)
Morning Mist (the light was magic but the colour was not, hence the toned B&W)
If you listen very hard (I found the old abandoned freezing works at Patea and spent a few hours there)
Silence of the lambs (another shot from the Freezing works)
and for those that were thinking "how many shots did Firsty take"
I only had one and a half days of photography time and I took 728 photos or just under 7gig...
so due to file size difference I would have reached stubbsy total in 10 days but then again I do get up a little early

I really like the last one...to me, the treatment of it works quite well.

Keith
That first shot of Taranaki is great. We never saw it WITHOUT cloud obscuring half of it. I like the last one too - nice muted tones

Keith,
love the first and last ones. Your PP on the last one really makes it looks like it was taken 50 years ago, well done.
Certainly is plenty to photograph in NZ.
Cheers,
André

Great shots there firsty!
Amazingly clear shot of Egmont (as Stubbsy already said, we didn't get a good view of Egmont - at least until sunset from Ruapehu), and the atmosphere of the second is great. The Freezing Works shots show an attention to detail in both the taking, and the processing.
Look forward to seeing more, and it's a pity we didn't get to catch up. We were back in Palmy on the Friday night (rather than stay in Napier in crappy weather), but didn't get online to see your message - would probably have been too late for you to get over anyway
