I may need to buy a flash and diffuser to stop the twinkle from the cells in flowers like this.

hi colin, they sure are a beautiful flower. it's a shame you have that dusting affect on them.
i took one of these at chrissy.... aperture priority f14 and used a sb600 flash defused what was your settings for these. cheers pa

These were taken using my 105 macro at f45 and f51 with ISO 200 @ 100th of a second with the onboard flash. I have yet to purchase a general purpose flash. The shiny dusting became more noticable with sharpening the reduced image. As it always does for me. Do you find the SB 600 to be OK or would you go the 800 if dollars permitted? Regards Colin
