Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.
Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.
Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.
Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

this was taken from Parramatta about 20mins before Dans shot last night so it is looking at the other side... very different, but cool enough to make me pull over for a shot or 2

note I wasn't thinking when I took this and used -2ev to get some detail in the clouds which is why the bottom is a little dark
had i remembered my cokin grad ND filters in my camera bag I would have had a better photo to post
by the way this looks much better on a black background as you can pick out more of the shadow detail

Laurie
I actually waited for the truck to come so it would cover up the boring buildings in the background and to give the photo a story
otherwise it would have just been a photo of some cool clouds with a poor foreground (no green golf courses around here)

I like the truck. It's more "ominous". I think it helps that it's a fuel truck.

I reckon if it 'went off' it would liquify a bit......
Nice pic, I agree, the truck adds to the image.

Brilliant Cloud,
Don't think driving a petrol tanker into that is a very good idea though
Reminds me of the Terminator for some reason.

Love this shot Keith!! Well done. But where did you find a truck with such a bad exhaust problem??
Tells the story you were after really well.
