Love the first one. Interesting exposure, love the whiteout, and the pose is great, thanks for sharing.
Heath - some beautiful images here matey.
The 3rd one is out of this world though - yummy. Well done mate. Geoff
Special Moments Photography Nikon D700, 50mm 1.4, 85mm 1.4, 70-200 2.8VR, SB800 & some simple studio stuff.
Some of the best high key stuff I've seen. Final image I like the most though the second feels like a dream.
Definitely some great work in PPing there. The high key is just about perfect, not too much, not too little, just right.
I agree with Matt thaethe third of the series is the standout. There is just so much to like about the image. You've raised the bar for this style. Well done and thanks for sharing. Steve.

Heath,
Lovely model shots. Lovely light, very flattering to your subject and very tastefully done. #2 is probably the weakest with the cropped head and looks like a bit of sun hit the lens to kill the contrast. (Or maybe that was done in PP?) But I like all of these, especially #3. Cheers,
macka a.k.a. Kris
#4 is my favourite, the eye contact does it, #3 is is a stunner too
Great high key presentation.. can you give us a little more background about the shoot ?? Was it a commerical shoot, etc..
Thanks for all the comments.
The shoot is for something that I can't really be too specific about, but it is for a pitch for a PR company in Sydney that wants to go for a particular swimwear brand. HB
another, looks a bit like she is sticking her jaw out... does it matter? Think I may clone out the hair on the right side of her face too - a little distracting.

I really like the casual style of the 2nd shot. Looks like it's just me but I don't like the other images. I'm not sure why, but I've seen better work come out from you Heath. Sorry if that sounded a tad too critical and unproductive
![]() The added image looks good but agreed that there's something up with her jaw. Almost looks like she's trying to stifle a yawn. Ehm...also look very carefully at her sunnies. I see a certain Mr Bennett lying in the sand with a camera ![]() Hassy, Leica, Nikon, iPhone

I value the opinion, and would love to take something on board from you. All I want is for you to think harder and critique it. It is the reason for the post. In my opinion the last image (#5) is weaker than the others. I actually want to go back and PP some more - there are many to go through. Aha - the reflection in the sunnies! Look closer still - there are 2 people squatting, not one lying! ![]() HB
Heath,
Ok I've spent a bit more time to gather my thoughts about the other images I didn't comment on. Obviously if you think I'm F.o.S, feel free to disagree and let me know ![]() #1 - Nice high key treatment, but for swimwear on the beach it doesn't tell much of a story to me. The model's right arm looks a bit too rigid and disjointed, though I can see what the intended pose was. Maybe get her to arch her back a tad more to show a nicer curve along the back. I think the issue for me here is the high key treatment. Is the white lace part of the outfit? The absolute white background is making it really hard to focus on the outfit itself. #3 - Not too keen on the angle you have taken here. I like the down low composition at the model's level as it shows a bit more intimacy with the shot. Once again, you can't see the outfit. All you see is down her top and I'm not sure if that's what you're going for to get the contract ![]() #4 - Love the eye contact. I think the high key treatment can be kept except for the part with her hand in the water. How about leaving the detail in her hand there and keeping the high key to the top and background? Once again, if you think I'm F.o.S let me know ![]() Hassy, Leica, Nikon, iPhone

Thanks for the critique. Always helpful to take new comments on board.
