Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature. Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread. Suggest a Crop please
I'd like to do something with this shot, but it wasn't correctly composed to begin with (BUGGER!) So can I reclaim it by a crop ? Feel free to crop and post this image.

I like the photo, although believe the arched window and the space above do not add anything to it, and find the reflections in the window a bit distracting. Perhaps more of a portrait or even square crop focusing on the people? Cheers P Regards, Patrick

A suggestion?
I've blurred the backround a fair amount to place the emphasis on your "models".  Last edited by TonyH on Thu Apr 26, 2007 10:07 pm, edited 1 time in total.
All I know, is that I don't know enough.....
Was about to post almost the same crop... I took it a little closer to the hat, and was in fact considering bringing it up a little. Looking at it next to your crop I think it's better as you have it!
Thanks for the helpful suggestions, I actually have a few more shots of these characters on seperate days, they were very accomodating about having their photos taken each time I passed them
