Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

I'm sure I saw that first photo on the news tonight on a story about some escaped crim. They said that if you see him, do not approach but immediately call 000.

Sorry Geoff - I had crappy light - backlight with very little light on your face, hence the contrasty, Lomo effect. It doesn't show your true light!

Patrick the last two images are great. At a push I prefer the last one over the penultimate one by a whisker. I like the eye contact and that lovely natural smile.

Thanks Peter.

Also, I will ensure I use an approprate DOF in future, but the new toy is a joy to use. Super fast focus, brillian sharpness and great OOF.

Geoff, you look like a guy i used to know who ran a lan in Sydney called Deathnet. most likely not you but you look like him.
i like the first image, how some parts are sharp (lower left chin) and some are really soft.

I don't think anyone (other than you) indicated they didn't like the first image. :P
