My First Boy/Girl Couple ShootThanks for checking these out.......

#1 - great concept but IMO has a few problems. The window to the outside world should be cloned out as it has the greatest sharpness and does not enhance the concept. The girl looks to be OOF and underexposed.
#2 - The girl looks slightly afraid. #3 - I like #4 - very nice but the prolification of straps does not enhance the image - simple top or naked Chris

I personally think #1 would be heaps more enhanced by having the model look at where the partner would be, rather than the reflection on the wall.
Just my 2 cents.
the 1st one is very smart well done

#1: great idea and very nice shot. except the view out of the round window is pretty shitty. your shots feel so "glamourous" i just don't know if suburbia in all its garden shed and weatherboard glory has a place in the photo.
#2: i don't think their expressions match. #3: fantastic. i love this shot. #4: i wouldn;t be surprised if i saw this in a Vogue. (not they i have ever seen a vogue magazine lol) the lighting and colour is brilliant. EM1 l 7.5 l 12-40 l 14 l 17 l 25 l 45 l 60 l 75 l AW1 l V3
hi Dan, some nice creativity!
I really like the stairs shot, but clone or blur the round window. Also, did you get one with her looking up at her partner (facing camera) with a smile? the second, my first thought was... assault... the bloke is big, and dominates the image. I often pose the man against the wall (showing his strength), with the lady leaning against him, just a little more beautiful. I know you do well against the grain, but this one is unbalanced. do you have one with her hand on his upper arm, somehting like that would show a softer side. do love #3, the natural pose, and the eyes and mouth, are a beautiful timing! accident or not ![]() thanks for sharing as always!
Thanks all, yes i got many versions of her looking everywhere, i also know its in 'suburbia' i am working the images to show that, i am not trying to either hide or clone things out.......def agree with sentiments on the second one as well....but i also reversed that shot too.....lol..shows i am a bad judge over what looks good and what doesn't.......cheers.........love the detailed opinions ![]()
Maybe you should explain what you are attempting to accomplish with your shots as I do not see ”suburbia” as the main criteria in the first shot. ![]() Chris

I love the idea of the first but for me its a bit busy. The windows distract from the main subject. Were you going for a lover at the window in suburbia? I would shoot it dark with just the projection on the wall as the main focus. Maybe with a red gel pack over the flash to give the idea of a partner rather than stalker
![]() #2 I don't really like the guys experssion. #3 & #4 are great. Keep the photo's coming Dan love the work. -Dave
