very good capture........ good to have another bird shooter here, as I was getting a bit lonely

....... a hint from harry at digital grin, under exposure 1/3 to 2/3 on Egrets so the whites are not blown, but you have done quite well.....

the Pelicans are my pick.......
Cheers ....bp....

Gorgeous work Nikon boy. Crisp images with great subject separation despite a little loss of detail in the white plumage in some shots you. Love the frozen moment captured in #2 and the sense of motion captured in #4 together with the unusual perspective. Between you and Bernie we are starting to see some really terrific birding captures. :)
cheers

Great shots Norm, and the last one is an excellent capture of a cranky exchange!

Good shots on number 3 and 4. Strong contrast of the bird and background plus the slight movement on 4

#2 is great, so sharp with a lovely soft b/g.

#3 has great colours & contrast.

#5 is just a fun image.

#1 & #4 are a bit dull in this company.

Overall I like them, and I don't usually pay much attention to animal photos, but these caught my eye. Nice work.
Cheers,

Great shots, especially #2, birds in flight are very difficult to photograph and you have done well.
