Awesome stuff, Wendell. I like the 'high altitude' feel to it, if that makes sense.

Can't add much to what's already been said. You've definitely achieved that surreal effect. Fantastic image!

hi thankyou guys

what makes the image surreal is the contrast between the high fashion subject and the industrial elements in the bakground plus the drained swiming pool a concept of harsh structuralism and organic flowing fabric

i got the ame to spin around a couple of times and i took this in mid movement over several tries, there was absolutely no wind all achieved by movement

i added the sun in the image for balance, clouds are natural

I have never really concentrated on this in the past, but the sun position and shadow position seem inconsistant. If the sun was actually where it appears, and you used additional lighting at camera left, could you still achieve a similar result? I hope my question makes sense. Given the overall exposure, it just looks a little technically-unrealistic, although I accept you may not have been going for absolute realism.

I'll shut up now :D

Love it Wendell. The colour, the contrast and I think the industrial backdrop and the empty pool really play well off the gorgeous model. The models train I think also mimics and balances the long line and power of the crane's boom. Terrifically powerful image. :)
cheers

great stuff wendell! very ingenious to create the wind through movement. at first i thought you added the industrial machinery through post, but great work nonetheless!
