my 1st panorama

Hi everyone,

I have finally managed to produce my first panorama shot.
It is comprised of 8 portrait shots and displays the view from Bregenz's Pfaender mountain accross Austria's Vorarlberg towards the Austrian Alps.
I can see some flaws in it and am asking for some advice.
Should every shot be taken with the same aperture value and shutter speed ?
Does the white balance need to be set to a specific value ?

Yes, use manual exposure and keep it there.

Yes, don't use AutoWB, it will show slight inconsistency across at least on one frame. Use custom WB or set it down on Daylight/Cloudy...

You don't want a CirPl filter on either.

Yes a circular polariser can cause changes between shots, but it doesn't mean you can't try it sometimes.

Here is a shot where I tried leaving the CirPol on:

I can highly recommend PTGUI. The registration fee is very modest, and the results are always superb.

Something very similar to PTGui (and free) is the open source Hugin. For even better results swap out Enblend for photo merging and replace with SmartBlend.
