Some Recent HeadshotsPosting these for C & C........
Mainly to see if the cropping is ok? ![]() ![]() Thanks.. Dan
Cropping looks good..
Hair on the 2nd shot is a f....ing mess though. Don't like those strands across her nose nor the hunk of hair across her mouth. Whispy strands everywhere, going all over the place. Now getting back to No #1... Skin looks too plastic... I'm a narky bugger, so take that all with a grain of salt. ![]() ![]() ![]()
Actually i quite like the second one. The hair over the face adds to the composition. The first thing i noticed about the image though was the models eyes.

Skin is plastic (agreed) and the composition is pretty lousy in the first.
Second I'm not too fond of either. If you were going for messy, you could've gone for a better crop especially since you've killed the top of the forehead but left the chin and neck in. On the plus side, I like the eyes. Hey, you left some detail in! ![]() Producer & Editor @ GadgetGuy.com.au

I find the plasticky look to them removes any sense of "emotion" (not the word I am looking for, but, hey) from the portraits. The skin tones look quite flat to me. The DOF in both looks really good.
