A sophisticated, modern image with clean lines and supurb colours. This image looks like a high tech advertisment from a flossy magazine. Great shot! The concept could be 'patience'. Regards
Matt. K
Thanks, Sue and Matt!

It's just a good shot.
A good dog, and a good capture. Now, back to my Christmas morning cappuccino. ![]() g.

Absolutely it's a good shot, enjoy your cappuccino Gary, and Merry Christmas to you and everybody on the forum. NeoN ![]()
Great image Trevor and even better in the larger view - the two pools of light with the brightest being the dog and owners then more subtly on the other table of people in the background really enhance the image too. I'm guessing this is a dodge and burn (if so full marks for the PP), if not full marks for the luck in getting the light so right

Thanks, Peter. Yes, some D&B. The area at the top was far too bright, and although both sets of people (and dog) were in pools of light, I was able to enhance that look using the Multiply layer and Layer Mask technique. TFF (Trevor)

Great shot Trevor,
just a small point, it is not a Labrador, it is a Golden Retriever, aka a Goldie ![]() Cheers, André (lab and goldie owner ![]() Photography, as a powerful medium of expression and communications, offers an infinite variety of perception, interpretation and execution. Ansel Adams

Hi André Of course, you are correct. I myself am a lab owner for many years, and I love labs, retrievers and all gun dogs. I debated "espresso retriever", "coffee retriever", "cappuccino retriever" but none of them quite got me. Perhaps I should take Matt. K's suggestion and just call the image "Patience". Sorry for the poetic licence. ![]() TFF (Trevor)

Golden Cafetriever?
![]() Trevor, I too am a gundog person: there's little in the world that gives so much to us, but yet asks so little in return. g.

![]() This is a very special image for me Trevor, and a beautiful capture. ![]() 1. My(vision impaired) wife's first first guide dog was a Goldie, and a more beautiful and intelligent dog you could never hope to meet. And 2..... your location. Teneriffe is where I grew up all those years ago, from a 5yo to a somewhat less than mature adult. ![]() ![]()
Sure - Walker Ave is up on Teneriffe Hill, just behind me. I am in an apartment block on the river, on the site of the old Teneriffe Wharves. Beautiful area! TFF (Trevor)
