Just a quick one from my trip to the GP on the Island Casey, Bike One, which was odd in its own way given that Rossi is the 08 Champ we thought he would be back on Bike 27, anyway, in the rain, Turn One, Forget the actual name of the corner Untouched other than resize, and watermark, ISO 100, 1/100th @f/5.0 5,500+ photos for the trip, 3,000 on saturday, more to come!

Nice pan! I would crop it into a pano format. after a little bit of pp. Casey, Bike One, which was odd in its own way given that Rossi is the 08 Champ we thought he would be back on Bike 27
But even though Rossi has already won the championship he wont get No 1 til next year... Stoner can have No 1 til the end of the season. I'd keep it

Even though Rossi is No#1 he will, as previously keep his trademark number #46.
Nice image, I agree, I think a Pano crop would suit it better.

Doctor.
Forgot to give my 2c about photo. Got to carried away with stirring jonesy.
Great panning shot and considering lack of natural light. I agree with the panoramic suggestion, and would try an lift the colour of the red on the bike and rider to add impact to the end result. Jealsous that I was not there this year. Looks like you got a wet backside though.

With the background it looks like the ocean so I would say its not any of the other right handers, ie:- the hairpin, the hayshed or MG corner. One happy little balck duck when stoner lost that number 1 plate. Notice how he has Wayne Gardner syndrome and theres always a reason for a poor performance. Its never I rode a bad race or somebody was better on the day. LOL. Just coz his parents fooled around on aussie soil does not mean I have to support him. GO ROSSI. By the way I still am patriotic. Go Vermeulen. Jonsey. Ive seen you drive. No need to worry about having to hand back that number 1 plate.
Thats the name of it! I know it was turn one, we did a lap of the track, and sat there when it started to rain waiting for the real bikes to come out. Did get ralatively wet, couldnt fault my camera bag, kept the gear dry as hell even through the downpour, and it was an amazing trip, definatly going next year, but no car this time, the muppets they had directing traffic out of the track was bullshit, and three nights running, the excuse for the delay.... There was a car accident... Plus the coppers were rude and anything but helpful! Ive always been a big Ducati fan, so when Stoner started to ride for them i was stoked, coupled with a Championship it was awesome to see, but also a big Yamaha Fan, so The Doctor is also up there for me, But cant go past Aussie Pride, Stoner, Vermuelan and Ant West, cant go wrong! Ill get to Cropping soon, still going through the shots finding the best ones, then its onto editing and watermarking! A quick one of Rossi trailing dust, this seemed to be a common thing on the friday out of the final corner Seeing some of the shots that they were selling on the island that the Pro's were taking, and getting hassled about buying media access for my camera, cant see why people wouldnt buy some of these shots!

Hey Doctor
Went to the island in 2006 with my fathers d70s. Got some awesome shots but were stopped at the gates and were searched for camera equipment. Apparently you're not allowed to take anything larger than a 200mm lens in with you as an enthusist because the "Professionals" get their nose out of joint as they pay for there media accreditation and dont want anyone else getting great shots and effectivley stealing their business. Its not enough they get the freedom of the inside of the track.
Took my bike last year and it made the whole gp experience so much better. Not a problem wiht the traffic at all. If I was to go again bike would win hands down. If I was to go by car then I would trailer my bike, pay for the car to be left in Melbourne somewhere and then ride down. Only took small sony digital camera last year as space on the bike was a premium but missed my canon 40d when i was there.
I to am a Ducati fan since I saw bayliss win the superbike double at phillip island in 2000, but stoner just shits me. haha. Still a great bike.
Looking forward to seeing more posts as I was unable to make it this year. Keep them coming.

Hey HR, I cancelled my F1 trip for that reason, i cant even take my shitty kit 70-300 to the F1s cos of that rule, was the same again this year at motoGP but i had no idea, got to the gate on friday, 100-400 on my 400d, opened camera bag, which can take two bodies with lenses mounted, (which was the original plan, but couldnt get my mitts on a second body), asked if i had any camcorders, and was let straight through. It was about half hour later as i was standing on pit straight taking some shots of Stoners bike in the Ducati pit garage that i was approached by a young lass about a wristband for my camera, i laughed her off, took some more shots and went back to my group of friends, only to have some snot nosed emo kid come and tell me i had to buy media access, i told him to get stuffed and a few of my mates were getting pissed off about it too and voiced their opinions, the kid shat himself and left telling me if i got into the shit, then its my problem. We smuggled my 100-400 in after that, and never had a problem, walked around, lens hood on, attatched to monopod and got some awesome shots! If im paying for media access and shit like that, i better get some benifits other than having a wrist band! The pro's can get their nose out of joint all they want, if they are that stuck up and paranoid about an enthusiast getting better shots than them, then they seriously have to think about their career choice! Thats my rant over! More pics to follow! Cheers Chris
