Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.
Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.
Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

Boat racing at Taree today - this one's my favourite so far....

First real chance I've had to try my hand at Motorsports since getting the D70 - used to take heaps of pics at speedway, etc. Will have to keep an eye out for these things next time they're at Taree and make sure I get a good spot

Leon
You really travel up & down the coast a bit don't you?
As well as the shot here (which is great) I also like the 3rd shot on SmugMug with all that spray

Yeah - thought abour calling in to say Hi at about 6am on Friday morning!
We come up here on average about once every six weeks or so - is an easy trip from Sydney, and nice and relaxing.
One of these days I'll come and have a look around Newie on the way.

OMG what @$#$ time did you leave Sydney (I'm thinking about 5) - I guess the Easter traffic would have been light.
Me - I arose at the respectable hour of 10 am Friday morning. BTW feel free to call in when your in town - just give me a ring first and give me time to wake up

The bold colours work really well in this, a really good action shot, can sense the power in the boat, good contrasting colours...

Yip - about then, same as today, just about to leave now (about 5:45am).
Was surprisingly busy leaving Sydney - we normally go in the afternoon after work, if we can get out b4 the peak, but this time decided to leave it until the morning. Wasn't too bad, but as I said, was busier than I expected.
Thanks for the comments Mudder - you'll appreciate I didn't have a great deal to do with picking the colours, they were contrasting anyway
I remember from my film days the difficulties of fast moving targets, and am happy with my first attempts at motorsport with the D70. Will try again any opportunity I get
