Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.
Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

Just popped in to post a couple more from the week-end up at the High Country... Yet to start on the few pano's I took... 
Working out where I might go and play tonight, might be in for a nice sunset...

Another sunset shot from the summit, probably not a very good image but it was breathtaking taking it in at the time...

Absolutely gorgeous images. The last one being the quintescential (sp?) image of the high country, just missing some wild horses

All of them are fantastic!
In the first one, the tent looks almost alien, yet vaguely incan/mayan/aztec as well.
In the second one, the colours are great - maybe just not as sharp?
In the sunset one, I like the way the foreground mountains are *just* visible, as opposed to just being a dark foreground or silhouette. Soooo nice. Can't decide whether there'd be a warm breeze blowing to match the warm colours, or whether you were cold taking this shot.
Re : the final one. Maybe it's a standard shot everyone attempts, but I don't think I've seen very many that well achieved.

The object in the first one is the lookout tower at the summit of the mountain, assumedly used for keeping an eye on people snowing in Winter and fire watch in Summer?
It was quite mild during the sunset, it was very comfy with my thermos of coffee and barbequed chook from the local supermarket , didn't wander down the hill until about 9'ish and was wearing a t-shirt and a thin vest thing... Aka Andrew
