Which VersionHi all, I've got a bit of a delema. I want to chose a photo to print for someone who wants to buy it, but am stuck as to what version I'd prefer. Can you help me. I ask the customer, but they told me to chose between the 2 for them.
Ver. 1 ![]() Ver. 2 ![]() Thanks in advance Alex
Alex I certainly prefer No1, it is a more complete and interesting image.

G'day mate,
For me the first is preferable, it seems to be a more "complete" image, more of the "scene". I keep wondering what's outside when I view the second... The first one seems to invite me to wander around the image more, the second seems to offer less viewer involvement? Lovely color and tones in this mate, looks great, interesting angle too, nicely done... Aka Andrew
Alex, while I love Number 2, I think Number 1 would be the best - OnePutt & Mudder are spot on.
great shot by the way ![]() Dodging and burning are steps to take care of mistakes God made in establishing tonal relationships! -Ansel Adams

Number 1 defiantly, #2 just doesn’t feel the same.

www.colberne.com.au I purchased a Teddy Bear this morning for the sum of $10. I named him Mohammed. This afternoon I sold him on E-Bay for $30. My question is, "Have I made a prophet?"
1st one it just looks like it could suit a wall
even though the 2nd one is has more gorgeous elements like the silky water. i would pick the 2nd if you cropped in really tight on the water
It depends where they're putting it - if it's a main wall type photo the first feels more expansive, but if they're putting it in a stairwell or something I think the second one has a better close-up feel. The second looks a bit better if you drop the greens a little and bring out the detail in the red/brown a little more (I have two monitors, only one has decent greens).

have bicycle, will go to Critical Mass
Thanks for your help, guys. I think I actually prefer No. 2 myself, but I think I might print and frame both and they can take which ever they like.
Alex
You obviously mean dilemma (rhymes with Morris Iemma)...
I actually prefer version 2 as well, but it depends how they are going to display it and what they want it to portray... Cheers, John

Thanks for this, Matt. Alex
Another No.2 advocate! Thanks Mikhail. Alex
I prefer number 1. Number 2 doesn't do anything special for me.
