These are great Peter - especially the motion blur.
With the first one, if I was going to be super-picky, I'd twist it a degree or two anti-clockwise to straighten the edges at the extreme sides of the frame. Colours are great. Good stuff. ![]() Simon

Peter, all I can say with #3 is wow and mirror the comments above.
I'm on a strong colour bender right now, and this really appeals ![]() I'm starting to feel envious of not being at Steamfest ![]()
No3 was very clever thinking to see the possibility

Hi Peter,
it was a great morning, something very different. That's certainly something photography does to you. It gets you out to experience things that you may normally not consider going to. It was my first visit to steamfest. I like all three shots, but like everyone else, that #3 is amazing. I haven't had a chance to PP any of mine, just transferering them to my HDD right now. Great day and fun!
Enjoyed the Steamfest with your and Andre's company. N#3 is great. Have you captured the "pro" photographer? two Canons on his neck one is dummy and one is working? ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by birddog114 on Mon Apr 24, 2006 9:21 am, edited 1 time in total.

Difference between a good street photographer and a great street photographer.... Removing objects that do not belong... happy for the comments, but .....Please DO NOT edit my image..... http://bigpix.smugmug.com Forever changing
Thanks all for your comments. #3 concerned me a little. I really liked this image (in fact I liked all four variants I took and found it hard to pick which version to PP), but I was worried it was too blurred to be recognisable and so lack appeal.
Simon - first one is vertical - the car is tilted (a lot). If you look at the street lights you can see this or with the rightmost pipe on the building. I actually tried straightening the car, but then the street lights and pipes were too tilted. Can't win sometimes ![]() Daniel & others - Steamfest presents quite a lot of photo ops and is well worth a visit next year. Peter

Fair point Peter and I can see you've taken the best option. Simon

No worries Simon. I think we have all managed to get ourseleves obsessed about straightness (myself included). Peter
