Somehow I get the feeling these cars don't get driven much.

DetailsThis weekend was the 21st annual Hunter Valley Steamfest. Over the weekend three steam trains (the 3112, 3830 and 3801) and 2 rail motors travel between Maitland and various destinations. A number of other activities also happen at the same time, with lots of old steam powered farm equipment and machinery on show and (oddly) a classic and vintage car show (no steam in sight).

peter,
#3 is the pick here... It's quite catching - strong lines, strong colour. Well controlled flare on the tip of the hood too, with just the right angle to show a bit of windscreen at the top. #1 - carefully composed so that you don't recognisably appear in any of the reflections from what I can see ![]()
hi
yes my vote goes to number 3 too...excellent love the colours too. christian check my website>> http://www.6701.sunpixs.com
Peter,
Truly stupendous shots of those steam trains and rail motors. You've done well. But why is Brocky signing his name on 3801? ![]() g.

Thanks you all for your comments. I must admit #3 is my favourite by far.
Daniel - Yes - I went to some trouble to avoid my reflection in the hub - I lay flat on the ground so my reflection is where the badge in the centre is so you can't see me. Gary - ![]() Peter

Peter - #3 is my pick here, love the colour and the lines / vents, nice stuff
#1 I also appreciate the trouble you went to avoiding your reflection in the first shot. The tyres are in such good nick too ![]() #2 Doesn't do too much for me, the reflections I find distracting.
Thanks Craig and Alex.
I've just added a 4th image at the top. A shot of the same car grille in #3 taken without the fish eye. Peter
