For some reason it is appearing differently after uploading despite changing it to the srgb colourspace... this has more contrast that I would like.

Awesome photo. The sabbatical worked wonders for you. This is up there amongst the best images from you so far (and there have been a fair few of those!). Keep 'em coming Peter

Thanks for the kind comments folk.
Tonight was the first time I had used the built-in noise reduction and I think it did a fairly good job. This was a 30second exposure (I hope that cow is okay!) at f4 @ 17mm with the Tokina 12-24. It is a blend of two images, however they were the same image just adjusted differently in raw shooter - one for the sky and one for the ground. I also adjusted the curves in the sky to make it a little darker but keep the stars bright. Thanks for all the comments, especially bringing to my attention the dirty sensor! ![]() ![]()
Mate, I love it! Lovely color saturation and ambience and the bright stars really add to it, this is terrific...
Bit of what I assume is WA distortion, there's a bit of a lean with the verticals (was the camera pointed upwards?), but love the mood and feel to this... That'd look good printed ![]() Great image mate... ![]() Aka Andrew

Actually it was the Paul Hogan trick
![]() There's a bit of WA distortion because I was tilting the lens up... I wanted to get the stars in. The shed was actually on a lean already, but the silo wasn't ![]()
Thanks Glen. Hopefully I can get some more night shots... just need to find some gloves because it's pretty bloody freezing lately.
