5 different ways to photograph the same thing...5 different ways to photograph the same pier - from our recent trip to Glenelg.

i prefer the 4th one (under the jetty). The symmetry and the jetty disappearing into the horizon is just superb

Yeah, me too. Top stuff. Andrew
Canon make photocopiers and stick lenses on them....
Nice work Owen. #2 for the debris and #4 for the lovely symmetry are my picks.

I tried to pick out a favourite of the 4, but couldn;t separate them, they're superb! Come and photograph Coffs Jetty sometime please! Max.

All nice images Owen.
[horizonalert] Other than the slight horizon slant in the last image, i will likewise echo the comments of the others and say the symmetry is excellent. [/horizonalert] Thanks for sharing. Steve.

If you had posted these separately they would have all been thought of as stunners! Well done Owen. If I had to pick I'd go with #3 then #4.

Hey guys, thanks for all the kind comments. Steve, I only realised the horizon was crooked when i was at work today... I could have sworn that I had straightened it! Maybe I tilted my head instead...
The 5th image isn't appearing because I just linked to it at the end... I had already posted it in another thread and didn't want to break the 4 images rule ![]() Stormygirl I really like your shot with the rays at the end of the pier. Which one was that? This one at glenelg was the only one I got to. Thanks again everyone. Cheers, Owen.
Brilliant images, love them all. So clean and crisp.
Nice sunset for it too, it would not have looked anywhere as good with clouds in it. I am a noob so I don't know what u use. Is that a 10-20mm?
Hi Owen, The one I photographed was at Semaphore Beach. I did go to Glenelg as well, but they certainly aren't as dramatic as yours.....and it was in the middle of the day ![]()
Most of the shots were with the Tokina 12-24... 1 or two of them might have been with the 18-70mm kit lens.
Yeah, despite the great weather we've had on the eastern side of the country, Glenelg was very, very cold.... We didn't take any warm clothes either!
wow good shots! i can imagine you running around with your tripod seeing as the sun sets rather quickly, haha....
funny enough, i love the #1. i will going to Adelaide for my friend's wedding in a couple of weeks, might try to take some shots like that!
