Got a thin skin? Then look elsewhere. Post a link to an image that you've made, and invite others to offer their critiques. Honesty is encouraged, but please be positive in your constructive criticism. Flaming and just plain nastiness will not be tolerated. Please note that this is not an area for you to showcase your images, nor is this a place for you to show-off where you have been. This is an area for you to post images so that you may share with us a technique that you have mastered, or are trying to master. Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

i prefer the 4th one (under the jetty). The symmetry and the jetty disappearing into the horizon is just superb

Nice work Owen. #2 for the debris and #4 for the lovely symmetry are my picks.

I tried to pick out a favourite of the 4, but couldn;t separate them, they're superb! Come and photograph Coffs Jetty sometime please! Max.

All nice images Owen.

Other than the slight horizon slant in the last image, i will likewise echo the comments of the others and say the symmetry is excellent.

Thanks for sharing.

If you had posted these separately they would have all been thought of as stunners! Well done Owen. If I had to pick I'd go with #3 then #4.
Cheers, Mick :) :) :) BTW it says 5 ways and I only see 4?? Did you lose one??

Hey guys, thanks for all the kind comments. Steve, I only realised the horizon was crooked when i was at work today... I could have sworn that I had straightened it! Maybe I tilted my head instead...

The 5th image isn't appearing because I just linked to it at the end... I had already posted it in another thread and didn't want to break the 4 images rule ;)

Stormygirl I really like your shot with the rays at the end of the pier. Which one was that? This one at glenelg was the only one I got to.

Thanks again everyone.

Cheers,
Owen.

Brilliant images, love them all. So clean and crisp.
Nice sunset for it too, it would not have looked anywhere as good with clouds in it.

Hi Owen, The one I photographed was at Semaphore Beach. I did go to Glenelg as well, but they certainly aren't as dramatic as yours.....and it was in the middle of the day ;). It was freezing when I went to Semaphore, the wind was blowing sand above and across the jetty and the waves were crashing. I was extremely lucky with the sun rays!

Most of the shots were with the Tokina 12-24... 1 or two of them might have been with the 18-70mm kit lens.

Yeah, despite the great weather we've had on the eastern side of the country, Glenelg was very, very cold.... We didn't take any warm clothes either!

I really liked image 3 and 4.

It always seems to be blowing a gale, when we lived in Adelaide and went to Glenelg. Something to do with being close to the ocean I suppose
